Welcome to Guardians Forge. We provide the Sixteen (16) hour New York Handgun Safety Course for your Concealed Carry Pistol Permit in Oswego County. The course is provided in two (2) - eight (8) hour sessions that cover classroom training and hands on applications at our Range with our NRA certified instructors.

A dedicated Marine Corps veteran with a lifetime of experience in marksmanship, Gunner brings elite training principles to everyday citizens. With experience assisting in the training of special forces, Gunner specializes in translating high-threat operational skills into practical defensive knowledge. As an instructor he focuses on building rock-solid safety habits and confidence in beginners, empowering them to protect themselves and their families.
With almost 2 decades of firearm experience, Marc brings a commitment to safety, precision, and proficiency to every training session, using technical training and a passion for educating others through responsible firearm ownership. Marc's mission is to provide students with the mindset and technical skills necessary to protect themselves and their loved ones effectively and responsibly.
As and NRA Certified Pistol Instructor, a credential earned through an intensive certification process designed to produce elite educators in personal protection, Marc has refined his ability to teach fundamental and advanced marksmanship.
As a Chief Range Safety Officer (CRSO), Marc ensures that every training environment is managed with the strictest adherence to safety protocols.
Working with first-time owners or seasoned shooters, Marc's goal is to bring together the technical proficiency and confidence required for safe, effective firearm use, as well as foster the mindset of responsible firearm ownership.

Course Policy and Cancellations
All individuals MUST be 21 years of age or older by course start date. Must legally be eligible to own or possess firearms.
The $100 booking deposit is non-refundable for ALL cancellations.
Courses can be rescheduled as available. Notice must be provided in writing to GuardiansForge01@gmail.com 14 days prior to your original course start date.
ATTENTION: This course is NOT RECOMMENDED for PREGNANT Women due to the potential risks in fetal development caused by handling firearms.
Handling firearms during pregnancy carries three primary risks for fetal development: lead exposure, acoustic trauma, and physical injury. Medical guidelines generally advise expecting mothers to avoid live-fire exercises and delegate firearm cleaning to others.
Please Consult your OB prior to registering for /engaging in firearm activities.
16 Hour Handgun Safety Course
Course Overview
This course is the Initial 2 day handgun safety course required for your Pistol Permit application. It consists of 8 hours of classroom instruction, covering basic handgun safety, manipulation, and law. Followed by 8 hours of Range application, and certification.

Total Cost $350.00
$100 credit cards deposit is due at time of booking through the website to secure your slot in the course.
$250 balance is due at the start of the classroom session on Saturday of the selected weekend. Cash, Certified Check, Money Orders or Venmo are acceptable forms of payment.
2026 Course Schedules
Courses are limited to 20 seats per weekend. Classroom Session locations are available on the bookings page for each date. Range location will be provided at the end of the class room sessions.

Pistol Two Course
Course Overview
ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST POSSESS A NYS PISTOL PERMIT TO ATTEND THIS COURSE.
This intensive 2 hour course is designed to enhance your handgun marksmanship skills through focused instruction and practical exercises. Participants will learn and practice the core fundamentals of handgun operation ensuring improved accuracy, safety, and confidence in handling firearms. Students will also have key takeaways on defensive tactics and situational awareness.
